Board of Architects Adopt Brand Developed by SEME

The Alabama Board for Registration of Architects has adopted a new branding campaign developed by SEME Resources. The Board’s mission is to protect and promote the health, safety, and welfare of the public as it relates to the practice of architecture in the State of Alabama.

“The Board works hard to protect Alabamians from unlicensed professionals,” says SEME’s Bob Fowler. “Our first phase was development of a new identity for this vital state agency. We created a bold logo to accommodate the Board's existing online identity as BOA. The new BOA logo incorporates strong graphics with an updated look to the Board's classic 1930's state seal. We're now moving to develop a multi-prong campaign to alert several markets to the risks of violating state law."

Alabama law requires the use of registered professional architects on all commercial projects within the state. They do this to protect its citizens from injury or even death caused by improper design from unqualified individuals.

In addition to branding and packaging the board, SEME continues to develop communication components to support their effort including videos, web-based newsletter, and printed material.
